Wisconsin Basketball Target Amari Allen Commits to Alabama
This weekend, the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team will host a number of high-level recruiting targets on campus, while the football team will visit Alabama.
One of the recruits was Wisconsin native Amari Allen. That is unlikely to be the case going forward.
Allen, who recently visited the Alabama basketball team, revealed his commitment to Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide today on his X (Twitter) account.
He is the 18th-ranked small forward and the fourth-best Wisconsin player in the 2025 class.
The new Alabama commit had 26 offers from some of the most successful schools in the country.
He picked Alabama over Wisconsin, UCF, Mississippi State, Marquette, Indiana, Tennessee, and many more.Allen, originally from Wisconsin,
attended IMG Academy in Florida during his high school career before returning to Wisconsin for his senior season, where he will play for Ashwaubenon.
Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball coaches were hoping to add Allen to the 2025 class, which already included sharpshooter Zach Kinziger and big man Will Garlock.
According to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings, Wisconsin's 2025 class is presently ranked 11th in the nation
