Justin Jefferson is confident that he will play on Sunday against the Houston Texans,
despite the fact that he suffered a right quadriceps contusion that forced him to miss the Minnesota Vikings' victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2
This is despite the fact that Jefferson was unable to participate in the game.
On Thursday, Jefferson responded to a question about whether or not he will play against the Texans by saying, "Oh yeah, for sure.
While attempting to block 49ers linebacker Fred Warner during a run play, Jefferson sustained the injury that ultimately led to his injury.
According to Jefferson, who stated on Thursday that he had failed to complete his mission, he should not have been anywhere near Warner.
I was supposed to stay on the corner and pretty much run him off," Jefferson explained to reporters. "I've just got to make sure I'm aware of my rules."
In practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Jefferson was only able to participate in a limited capacity. He described the way the injury felt "great"
along with the following: "Just taking it day by day, just staying in the treatment room and working with those guys to make sure I'm feeling fantastic Sunday."
