The Vikings announced Tuesday that defensive tackle Harrison Phillips has signed a two-year contract.
ESPN sources say the $19 million deal keeps Phillips with the Vikings through 2026.
"He does a lot of great things for us that really don't get noticed from a team-building and comradery standpoint,
and he's also a very good player," Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores said Tuesday following the agreement.
After four seasons as a backup with the Buffalo Bills, Phillips, 28, signed a three-year, $19.5 million free agent contract with the Vikings in March 2022.
In 2022 (59) and 2023 (92) he posted career highs in tackles and 5.5 sacks while starting every game for Minnesota.
Phillips became one of eight Vikings captains this month.
He recorded 5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass deflection in the Vikings' 28-6 win over the Giants on Sunday.
