Steph Curry has played with the Warriors his entire career.
He led them to four NBA titles, became the NBA's greatest shooter, and made the team one of the league's largest brands.
Curry, 36, is now considering whether to stay in the Bay Area.
On "Today," Curry said he wants to retire with the Warriors. He did not promise the outcome, saying he cherishes victory above all else.
Warriors are in transition. Klay Thompson left in free agency this summer to join the Dallas Mavericks. The front office has been juggling player development and contending.
After losing to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in tournament, the Warriors missed the playoffs. The Warriors spent the summer trying to sign a second All-Star to join Curry but failed.
Their sign-and-trade for Paul George with the L.A. Clippers failed. They missed out on Utah Jazz's Lauri Markkanen.
The Warriors are lucky to have tradeable assets. The fact that they're likely one trade away from contending again should give Curry enough cause to spend his final years in the Bay Area.
