Source: Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco (fibula) likely to miss 6-8 weeks

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is expected to miss 6-8 weeks due to a fibula injury suffered against the Bengals.

– Pacheco will be placed on injured reserve but is expected to return this season.

X-rays and an MRI will determine if there is a fracture or ligament damage to his right ankle.

– Pacheco left the game on crutches and with his foot in a walking boot.

– Coach Andy Reid anticipates it will take more than a week for Pacheco to return.

The Chiefs are bringing back former RB Kareem Hunt for a visit on Tuesday.

Pacheco, 25, has been the Chiefs’ leading rusher for the past two seasons and had 90 yards and 5 catches on Sunday.

1. The Chiefs have undrafted rookie Carson Steele and veteran Samaje Perine as backups, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the non-football injury list.
