A recent report gave information on the Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback dilemma between Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

Both quarterbacks joined the Steelers this offseason, Fields via trade from the Chicago Bears for a 2025 fifth-round pick and Wilson as a free agency after being released from the Denver Broncos.

Wilson was chosen the starter for Week 1 by head coach Mike Tomlin, but a calf injury forced him to miss the first two games.

Fields came in and led the Steelers to two straight victories to begin the 2024 NFL season, defeating the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos.

"I checked in with some people there (Pittsburgh Steelers) Monday, and they are pleased with the way Justin Fields is progressing," Graziano told me.

"They feel like he has played a couple of smart games and is executing the game plan well."

"The bottom line is this: If Fields goes 3-0, I don't see a scenario in which Tomlin makes an immediate move to Wilson, who's lack of reps dating to late-July is working against him," Fowler said.

"But I also don't see a scenario in which Wilson doesn't play at all this season, either. You're right, this will be among the NFL's most compelling storylines throughout the season."
