RB, Cowboys Reuniting on one-year, $3 million pact with Ezekiel Elliott

Zeke Elliott, the running back, comes back to Dallas after one year.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Elliott is going to reunite with the Cowboys. However, he will take a pay cut.

As indicated by Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Elliott will return on a one-year, $3 million deal with $2 million guaranteed. He's made almost $70 million with the Cowboys.

Elliott, 28, spent seven seasons with the Cowboys after being drafted fourth overall in 2016.

Following three successful seasons with the Cowboys, owner Jerry Jones appeared to anoint the heir apparent to Elliott in 2019, drafting running back Tony Pollard.

Elliott departed after the 2022 season and signed a one-year deal with the Patriots. Cowboys and RB Ezekiel Elliott agreed to terms on $3 million, one-year contract.

Pollard signed a three-year deal with the Titans this offseason after he was unable to help the Cowboys win the Super Bowl. Elliott was an adequate Patriots player, but he hadn't signed for 2024.

The news in late March that Elliott and the Cowboys were interested in a reunion wasn't surprising. The day before the 2024 NFL Draft, the two sides met again to discuss their interest.
