The Carolina Panthers have looked like the weakest club in the NFL through the first two games of the season.
On paper, the Las Vegas Raiders have a great chance to improve to 2-1 in their home opener after a thrilling,
26-23 comeback victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
As a result, the Panthers shocked the NFL on Monday by benching second-year quarterback Bryce Young,
and veteran Andy Dalton will start against the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.
Young, the first overall choice in the 2023 draft, struggled in the first two games.
He threw for a combined 245 yards, three interceptions with a 44.1 quarterback ratings in the two games in which the Panthers have been blown out.
The Panthers made this move to go with the veteran to bring some veteran savvy to the offense and to spark the entire team.
