Patrick Mahomes Warns Chiefs Teammates About Bengals

The Kansas City Chiefs play at home against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes delivered a caution to his teammates prior of the game on September 15.
"Obviously, they didn't have the first week that they wanted, so they're going to be even more hungry to go out there and try to win," Mahomes said of the Bengals to Audacy's 96.5 The Fan on September 9th. "It's going to take our best football, and we know that."
The Bengals battled in Week 1 at home against the New England Patriots, as they normally do early in the regular season.
Cincinnati's offense looked sluggish without receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) and Ja'Marr Chase, who was participating in a game for the first time since last season.
QB Joe Burrow completed 21-of-29 ball attempts for 164 yards. Zack Moss ran nine times for 44 yards and a touchdown. The unit committed one turnover (a fumble by Tanner Hudson) and scored only 10 points.
Overall, Week 1 was a horrible look for a Bengals club in the midst of a championship run. That is why Mahomes and the Chiefs will not take them lightly when they visit Arrowhead Stadium in Week 2; Cincinnati will be motivated by their Week 1 loss and the numerous troubles Kansas City has caused the Bengals in the past.
Hollywood Brown, a veteran receiver, was inactive in Week 1 but could return in Week 2. Brown missed the majority of the preseason and the regular season opener after suffering a sternoclavicular dislocation during Kansas City's preseason opener.
In an interview with the media on September 9, head coach Andy Reid would not rule out Brown returning for the game against the Bengals.
