Newly leaked video footage reveals the women's gymnastics judges in the Paris Olympics floor routine final failing to process a request from US coaches for a review of Simone Biles' performance.
Had the request been considered and her score adjusted based on what the US coaches saw, Biles would most likely have won gold.
Biles initially finished second with a score of 14.133, 0.333 points behind Brazil's Rebeca Andrade,
who won her second Olympic gold medal after a legendary recovery from three ACL injuries.
The footage, given to the Swiss Federal Tribunal as part of a court dispute concerning American teammate Jordan Chiles' effort to win bronze in the event, was made public in an official Swiss court file.
It shows Biles asking coach Cecile Landi if he is questioning the judges about her appeal.
Laurent Landi, the coach's wife, answered to Biles, "He said he did." Biles lost 0.6 points for going outside of the competition mat.
If she had received full credit for her split leap, it would have resulted in an additional 0.10 difficulty and a 14.233.
