In Week 1 NFL action on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Cleveland Browns 30-17 in a game that wasn't close.
Browns franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson, making his first start since season-ending shoulder surgery last year, didn't fare better.
Watson completed 24 of 25 passes for 29 yards. The game ended with 169 passing yards
He threw two interceptions and a six-yard touchdown in garbage time.
Six sacks were also given up, some of which were not his fault.
In Year 3 of the Watson Era in Cleveland, the team's historic deal for the franchise's future isn't paying off.
According to CBS senior writer Zach Perels, 1,752 quarterbacks have thrown at least 10 throws 15+ yards downfield since 2006. “Today, only Deshaun Watson failed to finish one.
The Browns' $230 million guaranteed contract with Watson may influence future decisions.
"The Cleveland Browns' trade for and re-signing of quarterback Deshaun Watson is the worst NFL transaction ever," writes CBS NFL writer Garrett Podell.
