Tyreek Hill, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver who helped lead his team to victory last Sunday, was detained by the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Hill was cited for driving at a "visual estimation of 60 mph." The body camera footage from his encounter with the cops has circulated on social media.
Danny Torres, one of the officers who forced Hill to the ground, dug his knee into the All-Pro's back while handcuffing him. It was a tough video to see.
Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac shared his thoughts on Hill's interaction with the cops
Isaac said it wasn't either team's best moment. However, he believes Hill demonstrated what "every Black boy" should not do in such a situation.
"All love to Hill, thank God the situation ended peacefully." But this should be displayed to every black boy on how not to behave when pulled over, respectfully," Isaac remarked on social media.
"It is immature for black males to place their lives in the hands of officers in this manner! Especially if you are of his caliber.
Neither party is obligated to be kind... However, with LE, you will almost always receive what you give. Especially when pulled over for a genuine reason... That is fair. Of sure, there are unjustified exceptions and escalations.
This was not anyone's best moment on either side. In my opinion, this is a nothing burger.Hill spoke to reporters on Wednesday about his encounter with the cops. He admits that if he could go back, he would do things differently.
