LeBron James has yet to speak publicly on the Los Angeles Lakers' newest statue of the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, but his social media post on Saturday shows his thoughts on it.
On Friday, the Lakers presented the second of three planned Bryant sculptures. Gianna is also depicted on the bronze statue, with Kobe kissing his daughter's forehead as a touching gesture.
While James is still in Paris, attempting to lead Team USA to gold, he has seen images of the statue.
The Lakers forward posted a photo of it on his Instagram Stories, labeled with the "infinity" symbol. The four-time NBA champion did not say anything,
but the emoji he used spoke lots and emphasized his thoughts on the subject. For James, the statue assures that Kobe and Gigi will always be remembered.
The monument also includes a plaque with Kobe's comment calling Gianna a "beast." Another line praises the Black Mamba as the "Most Valuable Girl Dad."
Gianna is smiling beautifully, and Kobe is kissing the top of her head while wearing the Philadelphia Eagles beanie that Gigi gave him for Christmas.
"He's also wearing a WNBA hoodie that he wore courtside to the game with Gigi," Vanessa said during the private event to unveil the statues.
