LeBron James Has Surprising Stance On 1-On-1 Basketball

LeBron James is one of the best basketball players of all time, a distinction he has earned by excelling in all areas of the game.

James is the NBA's all-time top scorer and will be the only player in league history to retire with at least 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists.

It demonstrates James' durability, as well as his versatility and multidimensional nature as a player.

LeBron can isolate and break down defenders when necessary, but a teammate claims he dislikes playing one-on-one

During an appearance on the BustaJack Golf YouTube channel, Lakers guard Austin Reaves said LeBron dislikes playing 1-on-1 because it is not "real basketball.

"Players like Kyrie Irving and DeMar DeRozan may disagree with that statement given their ability to single out opponents and score,

But James raises an intriguing question: is basketball still the same sport when there is no team?

The goal of the game remains the same: to score more points than your opponent, but the strategy involved in 1-on-1 is vastly different from that presented in an organized team environment.

Given LeBron's career-long commitment on making the correct move and deferring when a teammate is available, it's not surprising that he prefers to play with others rather than alone.

However, for all of LeBron's abilities as a player, he will most certainly be remembered as the first to reach 40,000 points,

making him statistically the best scorer in history.A player cannot reach that level without tremendous 1-on-1 skills,

so we've seen LeBron make incredible plays when isolated on a single defender throughout his career.
