The Lakers signed free agent center Christian Koloko to a two-way contract on Monday.
Koloko, a 7-foot-1 prospect, will provide additional frontcourt depth and be a developmental project.
To make room, the Lakers waived forward Blake Hinson, opening their third two-way slot.
Colin Castleton and Armel Traore occupy the other two-way positions.
Koloko, the No. 33 pick in the 2022 NBA draft, missed last season due to a blood clot issue.
He must be cleared by the league's "fitness-to-play panel" before participating in activities.
– The Lakers are optimistic about Koloko's return after conducting an independent assessment.
In his rookie season with the Raptors, Koloko averaged 3.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game.
