Kevin Durant's 'Perfect' Starting Five includes two Mavericks.

Kevin Durant is one of the best scorers in NBA history, and he knows a thing or two about creating the ideal lineup.

As a member of the Golden State Warriors dynasty in the late 2010s, he was part of arguably the best team of all time in 2016-17, winning 67 games and a championship while going 16-1 in the playoffs.

Durant was recently challenged to assemble an ideal starting five of current players on the "Boardroom" show

and he chose two Dallas Mavericks, one of whom may surprise you.

Durant's decision not to sign Kyrie Irving, whom he left the Warriors to join on the Brooklyn Nets, may surprise some fans.

While they didn't have much success, the two remain good friends.

The most surprising inclusion was Klay Thompson in his starting lineup, as Thompson is no longer the same player he once was, having lost some agility and defensive ability.

Thompson received a lot of criticism for his performance last season,

but one of the reasons he signed with the Mavs this offseason was to prove he can still help a team win.
