Jordan Chiles’s Olympic Score at the Women’s Floor Exercise Final Was Changed

Jordan Chiles had a lot to celebrate today after finishing on the podium in the final women's gymnastics event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The athlete ended up winning a bronze medal (her first individual Olympic medal!) in the women's floor

exercise final after a score inquiry increased her score.

Jordan was originally given a score of 13.666 for her routine, placing her behind Romania's Ana Barbosu.

However, after her coaches filed an inquiry, her score was changed to 13.766, placing her third overall.

And, in case you were wondering, the vibes were very much.

Jordan's routine includes a Gogean, which is a split leap with a 1.5-turn. According to NBC, the athlete was not initially recognized by the judges for his efforts.

Jordan also told NBC that she had no idea her coaches had filed the appeal (and paid the filing fee) on her behalf.
