The New York Jets could need to make a permanent adjustment to their starting lineup.
C.J. Mosley, the veteran linebacker and team captain, was injured during the Week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans and was forced to leave. The coaching staff brought in Jamien Sherwood, and the results were great.
"Another approach that Jets supporters may not like. I mentioned it during the game, and I don't want any of the players injured. CJ Mosley's injury made the difference
"When Quincy [Williams] moved to Mike LB and Sherwood slid over, the speed and toughness took over and flipped the game," recalled former Jets wide out Rob Carpenter.

Jets Insider Dan Leberfeld stated that Sherwood "played his best game as a pro" in Week 2 against the Titans.
Jets reporter Nick Faria simply stated on social media that Sherwood "outplayed" Mosley.
Now, it's up to the team to figure out the best move at linebacker for the rest of the year," Faria told reporters.He described the Jets' present scenario at linebacker as "awkward."
"For a team that struggled to control the middle of the field against San Francisco and early against the Titans, the Jets are now in an awkward situation," Faria wrote in an Athlon Sports essay.
"Their defensive leader, the player everyone looks up to, is battling with an injury that typically results from losing a step. Mosley's age, 32, does not improve the problem.
