However, the US Sun states that this is not the most costly uncommon coin.
Rare Washington quarters made in 1932 can fetch up to $13,573, according to USA Coin Book.
According to The United States Sun, coins with errors and uncommon mintages have the best market value.
That’s because the mistake occurs to a blank coin (a “planchet”) during the minting process.
