Georgia sits atop the USA TODAY Sports NCAA Re-Rank 1-134 after the thrilling victory over Kentucky, and one of its toughest rivals continues to slide through the rankings.
Florida is now at 1-2 and ranked No. 81 in the revised 1-134 after another depressing defeat, this time to Texas A&M. For the first time since 1935–38, the Gators are on track for their fourth consecutive losing season.
They're not alone, at least. Following a loss to Memphis at home, rival Florida State dropped to 0-3 in the rankings as well.
The Seminoles, who were ranked No. 11 in the preseason rerank, have fallen all the way to No. 80.
These are just two of the many well-known teams that were demoted in the most recent rerank. LSU slips to No. 19 after defeating South Carolina by six points.
Michigan defeats Arkansas State 28–18, moving them up to No. 29 from outside the top 25. It's evident that the Wolverines' offensive problems won't be fixed this year.
Others also in a tailspin: No. 35 North Carolina State (loses by 8), No. 45 Wisconsin (loses by 14), No. 52 Kansas (loses by 22), and No. 53 Washington State (loses by 16).
Washington State, Huskies' Apple Cup rival, jumps to No. 25 with upset of UW on last-minute goal-line stand.
