2024's "GOAT" WNBA draft class has been unlike any previous. Imagine what might have occurred if Angel Reese
and Caitlin Clark had joined the same professional women's basketball team after their collegiate rivals made their professional debuts.
However, with that bizarre twist of destiny avoided, these two are in contention for Rookie of the Year.
However, where ESPN previously favored the Chicago Sky star above the Indiana Fever sensation, it appears that the tables have flipped. And not only for the ROTY prize.
According to a recent news release, "ESPN writers voted Caitlin Clark as unanimous Rookie of the Year and Unanimous 1st team All WNBA."
Clark is now a member of the All-WNBA first team, in addition to leading the rookie race!
This comes after the network faced harsh criticism in late August for ranking Reese ahead of Clark in the ROTY competition based on hard numbers.
However, Clark has not only increased the W's general prominence, but has also contributed significantly to the Fever's return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
