Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was on fire against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, averaging more than 8.6 yards per carry at Lambeau Field.
Then, during the remaining 15 minutes of the game and his team's last 21 offensive snaps, he never saw the field again.
However, Taylor defended Colts head coach and offensive playcaller Shane Steichen's use of the star running back on Thursday
claiming that the team's other running backs play significant roles as well. Taylor also acknowledged his own faulty role in the Colts' passing game,
which he claims continues to grow."You saw last year, there are things that are schemed up for other backs, too,
Taylor told the crowd. "I understand that many people are asking, 'Oh, what's going on?'" But we have two other backs who are in the league for a reason.
Backups Trey Sermon (13 snaps) and Tyler Goodson (8 snaps) split the team's fourth-quarter playing time
leaving Taylor -- probably the team's best offensive weapon in the game -- on the bench.
