Shedeur Sanders, Colorado's quarterback, is no stranger to controversy, and he found himself in the spotlight again after his team's victory over Colorado State on Saturday night.
Sanders declined to shake the hand of Rams quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi in a video that went viral.
The Buffaloes defeated the Rams 28-9, and Sanders turned down Fowler-Nicolosi at midfield.
The Colorado quarterback gestured at his Colorado State counterpart before shaking hands with the other teammates.
On his "2Legendary" podcast, Sanders claimed that his rejection was in retaliation to Fowler-Nicolosi's trash talk.
Sanders stated that he felt disrespected and did not want to behave as if everything was fine between the two.
"After the game, I said something to the Colorado State quarterback because he was talking crazy on social media, and he was really doing it for the clicks," Sanders recalled. "
..Yes, I said something because I am human. You're not going to keep talking wild about us and acting like you like it, even when you don't."
