Late in the second quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs' 26-25 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday,
defensive end George Karlaftis beat his man and reached quarterback Joe Burrow.
At the end of the play, defensive tackle Chris Jones looked to get a hand on Burrow, assisting Karlaftis in bringing him down.
On Wednesday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on X that the league removed Jones' half-sack, giving Karlaftis the entire sack.
Jones responded in less than an hour, posting back-to-back.
"I'm trying my best not to get punished," Jones began, setting up a lengthy plea to the NFL, "but in my nine years of playing, three days later, when my hand was plainly on him.
I'm not sure who viewed it. I'm not sure how many people saw this play—play 29, but who is counting? That we both touched him simultaneously."
look at it this way. I look at it this way. We return to last year. I wrap up Russell Wilson, bringing him down.
