The Chicago Sky dropped their fourth game in a row on Tuesday, September 17, falling 86-70 against the Atlanta Dream.
Chicago has been in a freefall of late, dropping 11 of their previous 13 games as their playoff hopes fade.
The Sky made a difficult roster choice on Wednesday, September 18, just before the regular season's final game.
This comes in the form of Chicago cutting ties with former No. 10 overall pick Kaela Davis.
According to the WNBA's player movement and transactions page, Davis signed a deal with the Sky for the rest of the season on Wednesday.
On the same day, the team chose to release the 6-foot-2 forward.
Davis, who signed a seven-day deal with the Sky earlier this month following rookie phenom Angel Reese's season-ending injury, made only three appearances for the team.
The Sky return to action on Thursday, September 19, in what will be the regular season finale.
