The Buffalo Bills cleared Josh Allen to play Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins after an injury scare in the season opener,
but the quarterback may be taking additional precautions to stay healthy this week.
Allen injured his hand on a fourth-quarter touchdown run in the team's 34-28 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on September 8.
The Bills quarterback scrambled near the goal line and jumped over Cardinals defender Budda Baker, colliding with the endzone and landed on his left hand.
Allen had his hand wrapped and was able to finish the game, after which he received X-rays.
The Bills have already cleared him to play in Week 2, but photos from this week's practice show the quarterback wearing a new glove on his left hand.
"Josh Allen is fully participating in practice today." Parrino wrote, "Here he is throwing." "He is wearing a glove on his left non-throwing hand.
"This is the only media open portion viewing period of the week before Thursday night's game against the Dolphins."

This is the only media open section viewing hour of the week before Thursday's game against the Dolphins.
According to Spectrum News 1 reporter Andy Young, Allen will not be limited in his ability to take photos with the new glove.
"HC Sean McDermott indicated Monday that he did not believe Allen would have any limitations while taking snaps from under center," Young wrote on X.
Allen was able to finish Sunday's triumph with no apparent difficulties. He had a good game in the team's season-opening triumph, completing 18-of-23 passes for 232 yards and two throwing touchdowns while also rushing 39 yards and scoring twice.
