Following Jessica Pegula's stunning quarterfinal win at the U.S. Open on Wednesday, another billionaire daughter joined her in the semifinals.
To reach her first Grand Slam semifinal, sixth-ranked Pegula defeated event top-seed and World No. 1 Iga Swiatek in straight sets (6-2, 6-4).
Tennis star 30-year-old is daughter of Buffalo Bills and Sabres owner Terry Pegula.
The 13th seeded Emma Navarro upset Spain's Paula Badosa 6-2, 7-5 in her quarterfinal on Tuesday following a dramatic second-set comeback from 1-5 down.
Navarro, 23, defeated third-ranked Coco Gauff in three sets on Sunday to reach the quarterfinals.
Her father is former Citigroup vice president Ben Navarro.
Pegula will play Czech Republic's Karolina Muchova, a 2023 French Open finalist, in her quarterfinal on Thursday.
In her maiden Grand Slam semifinal on Thursday, Navarro will face Belarus' World No. 2 and Australian Open winner Aryna Sabalenka.
