'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' Burns Up The Box Office With A $110 Million Opening

Tim Burton's Beetlejuice In its opening weekend, Beetlejuice—starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Jenna Ortega—made significant money.  

Beetlejuice Naturally, Beetlejuice 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the 1988 eerie comedic hit.   

Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe join Keaton, Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara in the sequel.  

Based on a tale by Gough, Millar, and Grahame-Smith, Burton's Wednesday partners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote the script.  

Beetlejuice variety projects Opening weekend earnings for Beetlejuice will be $110 million, making it the second-biggest September ever.   

The PG-13 film opened in 4,575 theaters. The trade newspaper said that the film made $34.5 million globally, bringing its opening weekend total to $134.5 million.  

Variety predicts Deadpool & Wolverine will earn $7.2 million in 3,400 locations to bring its domestic total to $614 million, dropping to second place.  

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's R-rated superhero film has grossed $1.287 billion globally.
