The 49ers will be without wide receiver Deebo Samuel for the next couple of weeks due to a calf strain.
– Coach Kyle Shanahan announced Samuel's injury occurred late in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Vikings.
Samuel likely injured his calf on a play with about two minutes left in the game, after catching a pass under pressure.
Despite the injury, Samuel finished with eight catches for 110 yards and two carries for -10 yards.
With Samuel out, and Christian McCaffrey on IR, the Niners are missing two key offensive players.
Samuel has a history of injuries, missing games with various issues since 2019, and has never played a full season.
The 49ers’ active roster includes wideouts Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, Jacob Cowing, Chris Conley, and Ronnie Bell.
Shanahan praised Samuel’s performance before the injury, noting strong catches and a good game against the Jets.
