Crispy Garlic Fried Chicken Wings
This is a dish I created just for folks who are new to cooking. With this, we can demonstrate to new cooks that everyone can produce delicious fried chicken wings! What distinguishes amazing fried chicken from simply good?
In my opinion, a lot of it is in the marinade, which is the major ingredient in our dish’s flavor! That’s why we use both garlic powder and fresh garlic. Seasonings like these give the white meat a bit of spice while increasing its delicious aspect.
Another unique component of this dish is the rich white sauce we utilize to enhance the flavor of our chicken. This is a smooth, somewhat sour, and salty component that you will want to dip into over and over!

FAQ
How do I make my fried chicken wings extra crispy?
To achieve extra crispy wings, ensure the oil is hot enough (around 350°F/175°C) before frying. Pat the wings dry to remove excess moisture, and coat them in a thin layer of flour or cornstarch. Fry the wings in small batches to prevent overcrowding, which can lower the oil temperature and result in soggy wings.
Can I bake the wings instead of frying them?
Yes, for a healthier option, you can bake the wings. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), coat the wings in oil and seasoning, and place them on a wire rack over a baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown.
How do I keep the garlic from burning when frying?
To avoid burning the garlic, fry the chicken wings first, and then sauté the garlic separately in a little oil until it’s golden and fragrant. Toss the cooked wings in the garlic mixture to infuse them with flavor without risking burnt garlic.
Can I make these wings ahead of time?
Yes, you can fry the wings ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator. To reheat, bake the wings in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, which will help restore their crispiness. Add the garlic sauce or seasoning right before serving.
What dipping sauces pair well with garlic-fried chicken wings?
Garlic-fried chicken wings pair well with a variety of dipping sauces, including ranch, blue cheese, spicy buffalo sauce, or a honey-garlic glaze. You can also try Asian-inspired sauces like soy ginger or sweet chili for extra flavor.
